Garbage

NOTE: The following opinions are those of the website owner, NOT SCOTT DOHMANN.

I'm so disgusted with the fact that Scott is back down in AAA, that I won't even watch the games. Bad decisions, in my opinion, have led to the recent string of losses. Too many pitchers in the bullpen is one problem. Having the starters go too long before bringing in relief is another.
I know the bullpen has gotten a lot of flack lately, but if you cannot score more than 3 runs in a game... you cannot expect to win. Four of the last six games, the Rockies didn't score more than 4 runs. The bullpen could have helped, sure. But if you can't get run support, it doesn't matter how well you hold the opposing offense. So Scott is back down the same night he came in with bases loaded and 1 out. He closed out the inning with no runs given up. Some changes should be made, yes. But I don't feel that Scott should have been sent down. Last I had heard, Hurdle said he was going to continue with the bullpen that had gotten them where they are now. Righto. He said they were going to 'sit on their hands' and let the bullpen get out of the slump. I hear ya. He should have sat on his hands instead of grabbing over the hill relief pitchers before the season started. He had a young group in AAA, he should have used them instead of spending money they don't have on people they can't use. Again, this is just my opinion and I am biased towards Scott.... but as a manager, show some consistancy. Stand behind your word.
Oh, and let's take a look at one of Scott's replacements:

WELCOME TO THE SHOW: Reliever Manuel Corpas made his big-league debut in the eighth inning, surrendering a home run to Craig Wilson. Corpas showed off a 93-mph fastball and a good slider

I didn't watch the game, but I wonder..... was he showing off the fastball or the slider when Craig Wilson demolished it?

Update

Scott threw a great inning last night against the Diamondbacks.
Won't be long before his ERA is back down where it used to be.
